Are there any risks to counselling? What should I expect?

I understand that counselling can be a difficult but powerful step towards healing. While I take great care to ensure that our sessions are a safe space to explore difficult issues, clients should know that there are risks that may arise. For example, as we discuss difficult topics, especially surrounding trauma, strong feelings and emotions may come up. Because of this, I aim to explore your support systems and protective factors outside of therapy in our work together. It is important for me that my clients feel supported and empowered both in and outside of counselling.

02

What is the cancellation policy? How do I pay?

Cancelled appointments within 24 hours of the session time will be charged the full session fee.

Payments can be made by debit/credit card or e-transfer only. Payment is due at the start of each session.

04

Can you provide receipts for insurance?

Yes. Please check with your insurance provider that services with a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) or a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) are covered. Receipts will be provided after each session when payment is received.
